What is wrong…

with this headline? Iraq executes 27 “terrorists.” If the government of Iraq executes 27 people found guilty of murder and rape and wishes to call them terrorists, who are we to argue? I always assumed that thugs who murder and rape innocent people were terrorists. Perhaps the editorial staff of Reuters needs to pull their collective heads out of their collective rectums and understand that murder and rape are methods of terror; not legitimate tools to bring about political change unless, of course, you live in Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany.

Faces of the Enemy

Are we supposed to be scared of these two?  The first is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the supposed mastermind of the September 11th attacks.  The second is Ramzi Binalshibh, another planner of the attacks.  The first looks like the wino who lives in a cardboard box under an overpass and the second looks like a stoned Ziggy Marley clone.  If these two are the best that the Islamic terrorists can offer up, then I say we treat them as the small, insignificant, excuses for human beings that they are and move on.

Just some hot air.

Many of you know by now that California is “leading the way” to cap its production of “greenhouse gases”, primarily carbon dioxide to 1990 levels by 2020. Yes, that’s right, by 2020, the Golden State will be taking a giant leap thirty years into the past. Here is the problem, it only seems that carbon dioxide contributes to “global warming”, which, by the way, has been happening more or less unabated since the end of the last Ice Age. OK, sure, there was the “Little Ice Age” which lasted from about 1300 to about 1800, but, by and large, the world has been warming up for the last 10,000 years or so. Many climatologists and atmospheric scientists are unsure if the Earth is going to enter a warming or cooling phase, after all, twenty years ago we were all concerned about “nuclear winter” or that smog would block the sun’s radiation from reaching the surface of the planet triggering another ice age. Furthermore, no one is sure of the role which man made CO2 plays in the warming of the planet, if the planet is actually warming at all.

All of these efforts to cap CO2 emissions target industrial and automotive production of CO2 without addressing the core problem. The reason we are producing more CO2 is that the human population is greater than at any time in the planet’s history. There are simply too many people exhaling, producing CO2 with each breath. Something must be done! If we reduce the Earth’s population, say by a billion souls or so, the CO2 problem will likely go away. Yet that simple solution is never discussed by politicians, who simply pass laws like California’s “Global Warming Solutions Act Of 2006″ in order to say that they have done something meaningful and pander for your votes.

If we really want to reduce CO2 emissions I say we need to thin out the human herd. A nuclear war or good old fashioned genocide will do the trick. Let’s start with the politicians. That reduction in hot air will surely make a difference.

Bob Mathias

Bob Mathias has passed away from cancer. As a child growing up in California during the 60’s and 70’s, Bob was a larger than life person, the “best athlete in the world.” He was an iconic figure here in the Golden State and I am saddened at his passing.

Is Kofi Annan retarded or just delusional?

According to a report today on Reuters, Kofi Annan, probably the worst UN Secretary General in history, announced that Syria would enforce the UN arms embargo against Hezbollah which is required by Resolution 1701.

So, Kofi, let me see if I understand you. The president of Syria has promised you that his country, which has armed Hezbollah in the past, will now enforce an arms embargo against Hezbollah in concert with the Lebanese army.  Do you not see how ridiculous that is?  Hezbollah is, de facto, a Syrian proxy in Lebanon.  Why do you believe that the Syrian government would be serious about disarming their own proxy?  Is it that you are feeble minded?  Is it that you are delusional?  Or is there some darker motive like allowing Syria to have increased influence in Lebanon and act as a foil to the “zionist, imperialist Jews”?  Could you be forwarding an agenda which hopefully will lead to the destruction of Israel?  Could that be it, Kofi?  Or is it that you really do have an IQ somewhere in the mid to upper double digits?

I would really like to know.
